Ever since we saw Inside out at Disney Social Media Mom’s, Lulu has been planning a full family costume set for us this year. Although trying to convince her 10 year old brother to done a matching costume is a test of futility, she was determined. After a few discussions, I convinced her that she would be just fine being Joy and I would find a fun Anger outfit for Ez. She was really torn between Disgust and Joy but she settled on sparkles and blue hair when she saw this bright and cheerful the Joy costume.
Since we have a year round costume closet, finding that exact “something” that Lu was looking for in the big box stores is almost impossible, not to mention that there is such a limited selection of costumes. When I was looking for New for Halloween 2015 costumes, I went straight to the internet and found what we were looking for in just a matter of seconds. With a click of a button, Lu’s Inside Out Joy costume was on our doorstep. Then within a matter of days and she was pretending to ride the train of imagination with Bing Bong.
By the way, has anyone seen Bing Bong? I think she has him hiding under her bed. Or maybe you can find him on Twitter.
The Inside Out costume is a one piece, sunny yellow dress with large sparkling blue flowers. The material is typical costume style with velcro closures. Because it is cold here for trick or treat, we are paring the costume with a long sleeve yellow shirt, bright colored tights and blue sparkled shoes. The costume also comes with an electric blue wig. The wig is super colorful and it definitely makes Lu seem very cartoonish.
Over all we are extremely pleased with our Inside Out Joy costume from Costume Discounters. This costume retails for $39.98 and can be found online.
