One of the best things about blogging is all of the fantastic resources I learn about from other mommy bloggers. Macaroni Kids is just that type of resource. A national based company, run by local moms, Macaroni Kids is there to to provide the scoop on all the family-friendly events and activities going on in your community.
I was first introduced to the company from Bree over at Bree Bee’s. I found out that she lived in Columbus and clicked on her link to the NW Columbus Macaroni Kid site. I have to admit, originally, I thought it was just a “Columbus thing” but then I realized that there is a local mom, in almost every major US city, running her own business and helping mom’s like me know what is happening in their communities.
Along with information, the websites also offer discounts, coupons, and giveaways to all types of family-friendly companies, activities and services. I was pleased to find the Bricks 4 Kids company for my Lego happy 5 year old. Finding a really cool party idea for his January birthday is next to impossible and I think this is almost perfect.
Another great way to use the Macaroni Kids site is to help with your travel plans. I was so excited to see that our favorite Florida town, St. Augustine, has a site. I know we will be using that when we plan next years summer vacation. I am also shocked to find that my home town of Fort Lauderdale isn’t a Macaroni Kid town {yet}. I might have to suggest to some of my mommy friends down there to start their own business by becoming a Macaroni Kid Publisher Mom.
If you haven’t already heard about Macaroni Kid, take a moment to check them out. I don’t think you will be disappointed!
Is there a Macaroni Kid mom in your town?
