My family is prone to losing things and/or leaving things behind. Coats, cups, shoes, you name it is in the sea of lost things – never to be found again. I have tried many traditional labels and all of them either wash off in the dishwasher or leave a sticky residue when removed. Clothing labels usually are only functional when sewn on and since I don’t have a sewing machine, that just won’t do.
When I was given the opportunity to review Applied Labels I was very excited. My package included 60 Labels, 30 Clothing Backers, Blank Backers and Shoe Shields. There is an option of 3 different fonts and over 15 super cute icons. Of course I chose the lady bug for my little Lulu bug.
I received them in early December and put them through several tests including washing, scrubbing and typical use. On each of the items, the Applied Labels did not rub off or wash off. I particularly like having them in my daughter’s coats, on her diaper bag and her lunch boxes.
Here is a picture of a sippy cup with the label, in the dishwasher and after several washes.. You can see that it still looks like new. I peeled the one off of the sippy cup just to confirm that it would not leave any residue and it did not. There was no sign that the label had previously been there.

Here are a few things that I thought of after the fact. I probably would have just used a neutral first name or first name and last initial. I didn’t think of safety. I also should have picked a “family” like label that we all could have used. Since our last name is so unusual, I think just the last name would have worked for all of our items. Something such as “Somnitz Family.” I also forgot that stickers are fun for little kids, so we have lost several due to my 2 year old’s curiosity of how to peel them off.

This is so cool! I love that you’ve found a family friend sticker! I could see using them on DVDs and lunch boxes too.

I think these would be great, I especially like the ones for clothing. I can see them helping us have items left behind at sleepovers and such returned more often!
