Music has always held a very important space in my life. If anything even remotely significant happened I probably have a song that reminds of that event. When I became a Christian I found that deep, heartfelt worship music was an integral part of my spiritual growth and sought out musicians that I could relate with.
Rebecca St. James is releasing her first studio project since 2005 entitled “I Will Praise You.” It is a collection of 10 praise and worship songs that will really help you press further into your relationship with God. Rebecca calls this collection of songs, “her most personal recording yet.”
As soon as I put the album in the radio, I was instantly drawn to the upbeat tempo and beautiful voice of Rebecca St. James. The title track, “I Will Praise You.” touched me and brought me to a place prayer and worship regarding our infertility struggles. God’s message is always clear in telling me to wait and the joy will come in the morning. The song “You Make Everything Beautiful” starts with the serenity prayer which reminds me of my mother who is currently in a battle with cancer. It is so freeing to give God praise in our struggles and these two songs really bring that message home for me.
The new album from Rebecca St. James will is being released TODAY, April 5, 2011! You can join Rebecca’s LISTENING PARTY and share a preview of the CD with your family and friends.
