This past weekend we joined a handful of other families and headed out to Darby Creek Metro Park for a game of kickball and a journey in the creek. It was a beautiful day to stroll in the water and all the kids enjoyed catching and releasing the various creatures the dragged up in their net.
Honestly, my family tends to be busy through our week and our weekends become filled with errands and “things that just HAVE to get done.” I don’t understand why we don’t spend more time having a couple of hours of fun, doing something as great and easy as just walking in the creek.
I feel a bit about whining on here. Just am amazed at how a two hour walk in the creek can refresh my perspective on family time. Walking in the sunshine, being surrounded by God’s blessings is a great reminder that we are not promised tomorrow so we must live in today!
