Young Love

September 12, 2011 By Melanie

“Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.” (Song 8:4)

There is love in the air..a sweet and innocent love. A love that knows not what it is but that exists fully in the way that God intended.

Lu has a boyfriend. He is adorable and he is just as smitten with her as she is with him.  They have literally been friends since birth but this is the first picture of them together.

March 2009

I know they are too young to know love but whenever they are together, they hold hands, they giggle, they chase each other. She lights up when she hears his name and it is so unbelievably and undeniably the most precious sweet friendship I have ever witnessed.

Summer 2009
Z’s mom teasingly mentioned the verse above one day when they were snuggling together and she is right. They are too young to know love the way we think of it today.

What is so amazing to me about Z & Lu is their love for each other is so pure and sweet. It is what all love should be. It is the representation of the love of a generous God. A love without sin. A love pure and untarnished. It is the type of love that is offered to each of us but so often we are blind and can not see it.

December 2010

Only time will tell their path. Maybe it will be a country music song or maybe a love story written only in the movies. For now, I will relish in the fact that Lu loves skipping and holding hands with an adorable boy, from a family who serves the Lord that we are blessed to have in our lives.

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,MommyMandi says
