If you have an active Facebook page, yesterday your probably noticed a slew post mentioning the 30 Days of Thanks or the November Challenge. I just knew there had to be a blogger that hosted this type of event so I searched my Google Reader and voila, I found that one of my favorite blogger friends over at “Say What?” had posted a link to a new (to me) blogger, “South Breeze Farm.”
South Breeze Farm is hosting her 5th annual Giving Thanks Challenge. The challenge is to take time daily to be mindful of the blessings in our lives and to go deeper in the appreciation of those things. You can link up your posts on her page and she has just a few little requests if you are participating.
Even though it is already November 2, I do hope you will consider joining all of the bloggers, take time to read the posts and to give thanks for all that you have.
So, as I am pounding the payment and being grateful for each and every step that my body takes, I give thanks for two working legs. Two working legs that not only allow me to have complete independence but also give me the opportunity to get on my knees in prayer. To kneel down and give thanks for all the multitude of blessings that are in my life and pray for those that are less fortunate than I.

Great post! Love that running quote. Many suns ago I ran road races with my son and ex. I enjoyed it a lot.
Glad you found the Giving Thanks Challenge!

I don’t think I was born to be a runner. Is there ever a point where your lungs stop burning? Ha! However, legs ARE a great thing to be thankful for – and mine do a great job of getting me around. Just not running. 🙂
Thanks for joining in on the challenge this month – happy to have you along! You’ll meet some great new friends, and I pray you are blessed just for taking part.
And what a fun blog you’ve got. I’ll certainly be back to visit you!

Thank you for visiting me and for the shout out on your blog. 🙂
I have always, always, ALWAYS wanted to be a runner, but haven’t accomplished it yet. I look forward to hearing all about your journey.
Blessings!

Wow! I am impressed. My legs were made to walk and that’s about it. I truly admire those who do much more strenuous activity like running. Do you bike as well?
Great to have you on the challenge!
