2011 Giving Thanks Challenge – Day 16, Reliable Transportation

November 17, 2011 By Melanie

Today I was reading one of my favorite blogs, Tribal Wife. She is currently living in the “bush” and only blogs every few weeks via telegram. Yeah, I am not kidding. It is essentially the same idea. Either way, I read her blog and am in awe and enamored with her families devotion to following their call. As I was reading her recent posts, I was contemplating how comfortable life really is for me. We literally have no true needs that are not met. We have an abundance of everything and if I was really honest, I could say that we have too much.

So, I was looking at this photo of the woman in the canoe and I thought to myself, can you imagine having to take a canoe out to get your food? Or literally walk miles for clean water? What about riding a bike to the doctor, hours and hours away?

I am so blessed and thankful for having not just one, but 2 reliable cars. Knowing that I can, whenever I want, just jump in my car and ride to work or the store. That I can get my children to the doctor. I truly am spoiled and blessed.
