Three years ago when I started running, my husband and I started the tradition of participating in a Thanksgiving morning run. Nothing like lacing up your shoes for an early morning run before you head home for that traditional overload of turkey and carbs.
This was my 2nd year running the Flying Feather 4 miler. It is a great race through one of the Columbus area parks. This year, I met up with my friend Amanda. Amanda would be humbled by my saying this but I have great admiration for her. I won’t share her story here but it is pretty amazing. She is a wonderful Christian and I am so thankful that God hand-picked her as a new friend in my life.
Here is our “We Did It” picture! Oh, and Amanda finished this 4 mile race 27 weeks pregnant! Isn’t that awesome? She inspires me to make it to the gym and keep lacing up those sneakers.

Looking forward to the last two runs of the season. This Saturday is the Jingle Bell Run 5k and then on December 11th the final race of the season is the Holiday Run 4 Miler.
Run Happy…

I love it! Thanks for the shout out, it made my day! This race was so much fun and I anticipate doing it next year…and being able to keep up with you!

What a great idea to have a run on Thanksgiving, I wouldn’t feel as bad having so much food if I went on a race in the morning.
