Praise & Giveaway: Crunchmaster Gluten Free Crackers

December 2, 2011 By Melanie

As many of you know, my daughter suffers from several food allergies. We are fortunate that Gluten is not one of them, but through our experiences with allergy friendly foods, we have become more health conscious and aware of our food choices.

For this review I was sent a case of Crunchmaster Multi-Grain crackers in three different flavors: White Cheddar, Roasted Vegetable, and Sea Salt. The first time we tried the crackers, we had a family over for a small house party and they have celiac.  I always try to make sure I have gluten free foods for them, especially their son because I know it is difficult to always be centered out.

I served the crackers with some hummus and they were pleased with the taste.  The father told me that he was familiar with the Crunchmaster brands but not with the flavors I had out. He really liked the White Cheddar. The kids at the party didn’t even notice the difference in the chips. They consumed them without a word.

After that I decided to bring the remaining chips to my work. I work in an office  of over 50 people and several have Celiac disease and many more are gluten intolerant. I set up a “snack break” with 2 bags of each flavor and a variety of dips.  Everyone was so excited at work and several people came by to give me their opinions.

My boss who is gluten sensitive, liked the sea salt the best. She did say that she could do without the potato starch but I think that is a minimal issue. I saw her go back for seconds, so, she must not have been that worried.

Another co-worker told me that she really loved the Roasted Vegetable with the fiesta dip. I think all in all people were mixed on which flavors they enjoyed the most but they all really loved the crackers. It only took 3 hours for the bags to be empty.

Personally, I really liked the Roasted Vegetable flavor the most. It had a little kick to it and really appealed to my taste buds. Compared to other gluten free products, I thought that these crackers tasted great. They had a nice crunchy texture that reminds me of Chinese rice crackers (which I love). The crackers are packaged in eco-friendly resealable bags. I did have to use my scissors to get the bags open but not a deal breaker in my book.
