It was super windy this past week and my neighbors brought out some toy kites for the kids to play with. The “bigger” kids quickly grew tired of the kites and Lu had been begging to play with them. I honestly thought that she was to little, but after getting the other mother’s approval, I let her take a turn. I didn’t think she could do it. Then she surprised us all by expertly flying the kite for more than 2 minutes.
The video is a little long. Her sweet giggle is a little contagious. The kite flying is almost magical.
Now, I am interested in trying to find a “real” kite. Do they still make them? What kind of kites are good for kids? Do I have any kite experts out there?
So sweet! We’ve bought inexpensive kites at Walgreens and online.
