When Eph was a little tyke, I would replace the name of the main character in his name. He would get so excited. Then when he could recognize his name, he would say, “Mom, my name isn’t there” in a very whiny voice. He was so excited when I opened up the Bible and showed him a real book where his name really was printed. I wish I had known back then, about I See Me! personalized books.
Lu and I received the I See Me! March book of the month, God Loves You, which is personalized to to say, God Loves Luella. She was so excited to see her name in print. She can read the word “God” and I said “Loves” and she said “Lulu”. On the inside over it has her full name, which apparently she has never seen before, so she kept asking me over and over what it said.
The story is a sweet reminder of how God created each of us perfectly and loves us an immeasurable amount. We read the story twice before bedtime and then she kept the book in her bed to “read” it again. We both loved the sweet illustrations of nature and God’s creatures. We even played a little game of “I spy” with animals, colors and letters.
Lu loved seeing her name over and over again on the pages. She kept pointing out to me where her name is printed. The name fits nicely with the reading of the story making her feel extra special.
I particularly like the “night” page. It has a blue background, with a white moon, tree, stars and a little bird. the page says, “He sings to you, Luella, by the light of the moon, through the sweet loving calls and His mockingbirds tune.” I never think of God singing to my kids. I love this gentle reminder that He is every where, all the time and his creation is always speaking to their little hearts and minds.

The I See Me! personalized children’s books are absolutely, completely wonderful. Along with God Loves You, they have several other titles to choose from including books about princesses and pirates. They also have birthday books, holiday books and big brother/big sister books. I think I am going to buy the World According to Me as an end of the school year celebration gift for Eph. I know he will love to be author and illustrator.
Please check out all their fantastic selection of personalized books. These are perfect gifts for a new baby, baptism, dedication, birthday or holiday gift. Not only is each one personalized, you can also add a dedication to the beginning of each book. Beautiful, sweet personalized books. I can’t imagine a nicer gift.
