Chips anyone? Love a crunch with a little dip but hate the not so good for you kind? Well, I am here to tell you that you need not look any further because Enjoy Life Foods has done it again. They have created a delicious and allergy free chip to enjoy – Plentils!
Plentils are crunchy chips made from high protein lentils and have 40% less fat than the leading potato chip. With 3g of protein and only 6g of fat per 1oz serving, plentils make a great snack.
For this review, we were sent a full size bag of all four fantastic flavors of Plentils – Sea Salt, Dill & Sour Cream, Garlic & Parmesan, Margherita Pizza. We had the Dill & Sour Cream chips with our dinner one night and they were delicious. I loved how crunchy they were and I never would have guessed that I was eating a chip made from a legume. Not to mention that every ingredient listed is something that you can pronounce and are most likely familiar with.
I tried all 4 of the Plentils and thought they were all delicious. The kids really liked the Dill & Sour Cream. I took the Margherita Pizza to work one day for my snack and shared with some of my co-workers. Everyone was surprised that they were made from lentils. The feedback was very positive and most people commenting about how crisp and airy the chips are.
And don’t forget, as usual, Plentils are free of the most common allergens and made in a dedicated allergy free environment. So make sure you pick up a bag of Plentils for your next summer picnic or BBQ.
Plentils can be purchased in natural food stores and conventional grocery stores throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as over 20 online retailers. Find out more about Enjoy Life Foods by visiting their website, liking them on Facebook and following them on Twitter.
