On our recent trip to Florida, we wanted to so some really special things for my mom and the kids. Make some special memories and have some once in a lifetime experiences. One of those special memories was to attend the Arabian Nights Dinner Theater in Orlando.
For all the years of living in Florida and all the trips to Orlando, I have never had the pleasure of attending a show at Arabian Nights. I really wasn’t sure what to expect. A few years prior, we had stayed at a resort located on the same property so I knew that the building looked much like a castle, but that was about it.
We surprised my mom. Told her we were going out for pizza and then came headed out to dinner show. My mom LOVES shows. She loves dancing and performing. I think she was a more excited than the kids. When we arrived, we received our VIP passes and program books, then headed inside. They offered a family photo (which I purchased because it was really nice) and then appetizers and beverages while we waited to go into the arena.
Once in the arena, since we were VIP’s, we were able to go down, pet the horses and meet several of the performers. The stables were beautiful and all of the horses seemed exceptionally cared for. There were so many different types of horses and all of them stunning. Lu & Eph walked around looking at each of the horses (they have never been in a barn, much less stable this size).
The kids were able to get on one of the horses and take a picture:
All this wandering around, really added to the excitement. We were just finishing up with our pictures, when we were sent to our seats. We had the absolute best seats in the house, front row center. The entire facility seemed sold out that night. The waiter was very accommodating and quick to serve our drinks and meals. You can choose from several options. Everyone was pleased with their meals and desserts. They even came back and gave the kids an extra ice cream.
Now, let’s be honest. No one is here for the food. Everyone is here to see the absolutely spectacular American Princess Dinner Show. I could go on and on about the show, but you really just need to see it for yourself. The horses and performers are skilled beyond your wildest imagination. There is bare back riding, jumping through fire hoops, American Flags, evil doers and of course a beautiful princess.
We were all mesmerized by the show from the start. The horses and their riders are obviously very skilled professional performers. Ephraim loved the cowboys and Lu loved the princess. My mom absolutely loved the entire show. She looked as giddy as the kids did. Which was exactly what I was hoping for – an amazing memory for all of us as a family.
Looking for that special event to add to your Orlando vacation? Make plans now to see the Arabian Nights Dinner Show. The perfect family style show!
