Praise & Giveaway: Burst Photo & Video Sharing/Storage

August 10, 2012 By Melanie

I am pretty obsessive compulsive when it comes to my photo storage and sharing. Once a month I will download all my photos to my computer, back them up to my external hard drive and then save them onto discs that I promptly put into my fireproof safe. I can’t stand the idea of losing my children’s photos and have been devastated more than once when a memory card or USB fail or get a virus.

When Burst offered me the opportunity to review their website and app, I immediately jumped. I have tons of photos and videos on my Iphone and don’t always have the time to connect my phone to the computer. Plus I am more apt to upload and organize photos than videos. Videos often get tossed to the wayside and rarely used.

Burst offers an easy way to store and share your photos and videos directly from your Iphone, Ipad or Android device. Plus their secure website let’s you know that your pictures and videos are safe from the public. Another feature that I really like, and one of the main reasons I stopped using other photo sharing sites, is that Burst does not claim ownership of any of your pictures. Which means, your photos are strictly yours.

Signing up for Burst is simple. Just create an account on their website, download the app and start Bursting! I have already uploaded a few of my favorite pictures. It is easy to share them with friends.

Burst does have the option to post on to Facebook or you can send a link via your contacts. (Links expire within 7 days). You can also choose to allow your recipients to reshare (or not) and make comments. The great thing is that these pictures are private and only viewable by the people that you choose.

I have several friends and family members that are not on Facebook. Burst is a great way to store, organize and share. Sign Up for your Burst account today and get all these premium features:

  • Free mobile application for both iPhone and Android devices
  • Secure storage and backup of all your photos and videos
  • Sharing with an unlimited amount of private groups
  • Videos up to five minutes in length
  • Personal web media dashboards accessible from any computer, tablet or mobile phone
  • Calendar integration with the mobile phone (Burst can work your mobile calendar and auto-title videos and photos taken during any scheduled event).
  • Strict Privacy Standards
I haven’t tried the Calendar features yet, but I am looking forward to it. I know there is a lot more to explore on the app and website but I was able to get started without much effort. The only aspect of the website that I can’t figure out how to to change is rotating pictures. Since I don’t normally edit in my phone, many of my pictures were in the wrong direction. I would love to be able to rotate and crop a picture before sharing.

Burst is kindly giving away a free lifetime storage plan (approximately a $60 value) to one of my lucky readers. Just enter on the Rafflecopter form below:
