Signs of Love

I escaped tonight for a long run. When I arrived home, my son eagerly greeted me at the back door. I was ordered to close my eyes and go to the front yard. As I blindly walked around to the front, I was told to “open my eyes.”

And what I saw was this amazing and heart melting literal and figurative sign of love. He was beaming with joy and pride. I was so touched I didn’t really speak for a minute. He asked, “Mom, do you like it?” All I could do was grab him up and give him a huge squeeze. 

I am so very blessed.
