About a week before I was selected for this review, we received the 2012 Chasing Fireflies Halloween catalog in the mail. The catalog had already provided endless hours of discussion between my kids on what they were going to dress up as for Halloween. There was very little consensus but a whole lot of oohs and ahhs on every page.
Then I got the magic email that we had been selected to choose a costume to review and the decision became even more difficult. As much as I wanted to pick one of the over the top princess or fairy costumes, Lu was DEAD SET on being a cheerleader. She was 100% sold on the sparkly pink and silver costume and the pom poms. I thought she might drool over those silver sparkle poofs.
The evening our costume arrive, Lu was giddy with excitement. You would have thought that I had just pulled a rabbit out of that box, the smile on her face was so huge. I could tell immediately that she was not disappointed. Of course, neither was I.
Just like all the other wonderful products from Chasing Fireflies, the Cheerleader Costume was no different. The personalized “L” in silver sparkles just makes the costume perfect.
For this costume, we ordered Lu the size 4 and the skirt is just a tad too big. Not a big deal though, because I can just put a couple of stitches in the skirt and it will grow with her.
Along with the personalized cheerleading costume and shiny pom poms, we also got the recommended hair scrunchies and the super cute pink Chucks. Pink Chucks are one way that I am living vicariously through my child. I am so happy that I purchased the complete costume for Lu, all the accessories really make this costume absolutely perfect.
