I don’t normally do this and by this I mean post about something that I wasn’t asked to review. However, I was so moved, touched, taken by the Dare to Be Conference that I attended last Sunday night at our church I just couldn’t keep it to myself. I am actually disappointed that there are only a few events left. It was such a powerful experience I wish all of you could go.
As a Women of Faith attender (I interpret for them every year), I am fairly familiar with Natalie Grant. I love her music, her passion and her story. Even though she doesn’t know me from Eve, I love that we share the bond of infertility. One year she was up there singing, big ol’ belly full of twin girls and the next, a Mama wheeling those beautiful babies around back stage. She just radiates a Christ like beauty.
Her co-presenter at the Dare to Be conference is Charlotte Gambill. Prior to the conference flyers, I had never heard of her. I didn’t even bother doing any research because I figured anyone with Natalie had to be fantastic and I liked the idea that she was a fresh face. Needless to say I was not disappointed. This women preached the house down. She was funny, smart and entertaining. Her two lessons just grabbed at my heart and I could have listened to her for another 2 hours.
The two of them together just rocked the house and their message that women need to stop settling for the ordinary and reach out for the extraordinary and try to be what God is calling us to be.
The conference was passionate, invigorating and soul-filling. The speakers and music are fantastic and most of all, God is glorified in every breathe. If you have a chance to make it to one of their remaining dates, I would highly encourage you to do so. Tickets are very affordable and worth every penny.
