Quite frequently I am asked if I have “been out in the sun.” I have rosacea and it causes big red splotches on my skin. Sometimes it is pretty mild. Other times I look like I have been holding my breath for 2 minutes. In addition to the rosacea, my skin is also very sensitive to most facial products so I am pretty careful in what products I use.

For this review I was sent a bottle of the new L’Oreal Paris Magic BB Cream. This cream is lightly tinted (3 colors to choose from) and is formulated to prime, perfect, hydrate and correct skin. I started using it two weeks ago and have not had any sensitivity issues.

Here is a picture of my freshly washed skin in natural lighting. You can definitely seen the red patches and overall red tone to my skin.

You can see in the above picture that it takes about a quarter size amount of cream to cover my entire face. I have fairly dry skin so I did use my regular moisturizer right when I got out of the shower. I really like hydrating and soft the Magic BB Cream makes my skin feel. It really smooths out my skin tone yet is very light. Plus you can see the self-adjusting beads instantly transform to your skin.

Here are the pictures I took after using the Magic BB Cream. You can see that the redness is mostly gone along with the patchiness. It is a nice subtle change to my skin.


Lastly I just finish up with a much lighter coat of my favorite mineral makeup. I don’t have to use nearly as much as I normally do and the make up seems much more smooth than when I use the moisturizer and powder alone.
Here I am all ready to spend the day on TV.
