Last February I had the wonderful privilege to host a Little Angels party and preview the wonderful video series that Roma Downey created. We instantly loved the video series so felt very lucky to be able to review the newest addition to the series, a book, Prayers for Every Day.
About the BookLittle Angels Prayers for Every Day features more than 50 simple rhyming prayers that cover a typical day and the typical worries of a young child. From waking in the morning to going to sleep at night, from thanking God for a meal to praying for His comfort when afraid, the prayers here will help little ones to see that any moment is a good moment to talk to God. Relevant Bible verses are scattered throughout the book as well!
From the moment we opened the book, Lu was enticed. Of course she didn’t want to just read just one prayer, so the first night we spent we read from several from each of the chapters. Lu particularly liked the bedtime prayers because we often sing or read prayers before bed. From waking in the morning, through meals and boo boos, there is a prayer for every part of the day. Plus you can’t just read one. You have to read several. It is really the perfect way to teach your child to lean into God for both the happy and the sad times.
The newest Little Angel’s: Prayers for Everyday is available for purchase ($9.99) at Ideals Books. You can also find out more about the series on Facebook and Twitter.
