Sharing My Sweetness – Ezra’s Newborn Photos with Madison Kelly Photography

July 31, 2013 By Melanie

Madison Kelly Photography Ezra 4th of July

A few weeks ago, I had the most amazing opportunity to have Ezra’s newborn pictures done with an up an coming photographer in our area. I have always been a bit crazy about having the kids pictures done but normally we do them at a local chain studio. What a difference it makes to have them done with a professional  who specializes in newborns.

When I arrived at the Madison Kelly Photography studio, I was instantly impressed with the wide variety of props, backgrounds and outfits available to me. I felt like I had been transported into a Pinterest dreamland. She had several options already laid out which was good because I probably would have been overwhelmed. There were so many wonderful colors, textures, themes. It really was hard to choose.

She had warned me to dress in layers because she keeps the studio very warm and comfortable for naked babies. She also suggested that I bring him hungry and tired. Once I picked out the first wrap, I fed him so he would fall asleep. She provided me with water, a Boppy and a changing area for the baby then when the baby was sound asleep we moved him into the first prop.

We started with this super cute wrap and little bear hat:

Then we moved onto an American theme (shown above) and this cute little ABC background: Ezra_ABC

After about an hour and half, Ezra was starting to wake up so we took a break. I fed him again and being a newborn he went right back to sleep.

This fishing theme was definitely my favorite one:

Lastly we just played around with a bunch of hats:

Honestly, I am so in love with these pictures. Kelly did an amazing job capturing his little personalty. She was so patient and really took her time with every prop and picture. I never felt rushed or like he was just a “job.” If you are in the Central Ohio area, I highly encourage you to check out her Facebook page. If you know anyone looking for a newborn photographer, I highly recommend contacting Madison Kelly Photography.

I just love the American one! What a perfect picture! I didn’t end up getting really newborn pictures with my little daughter. I got some cute ones around 6 weeks. I even had a tutu for her, but my camera doesn’t do too well inside, and she was born when it was quite cold outside. But hopefully for my next baby I will do better! Yours are just precious!

Those fishing ones are so precious. My babies never cooperated for newborn photos, most of them they are awake in.

How precious! I regret not having newborn photos done of my son. I had them done for my daughter, but at a chain photo place and they were just “okay.” I definitely want professional pics for the next baby.
