A few weeks ago, I was posting on Instagram and got a “like” from a fellow Cloth Diaper mom. I noticed immediately these super cute diapers on her Instagram page and with a little further inspection I found out these adorable diapers were actually made by her! That is when I reached out and offered to “test” one of her brand new mini OS diapers. YoYo’s Diapers and More makes a whole host of cute products including diapers, leggings and a very unique bib. She has a great eye for fabric choices and her diapers are just as squishy and cute in real life.
So, I am not going to claim to be an expert on hybrid diapers. As a matter of fact, this squishy little piece of fluff is my first official WAHM made hybrid and I might have started a really bad habit. The diaper she sent me is something new she is working on. It is a “mini” one-size diaper that is supposed to fit babies between 8 and 20lbs. It comes with a velour inner and an extra snap in insert.
Appearance
Right off the bat, this diaper is adorable. It is squishy soft and a beautiful color. Bright colorful snaps accentuate the diaper. It is definitely a fluffy diaper. You would not be using this under any kind of tight bottoms but I am not sure I would cover it anyways.
Performance
Little man is a pretty heavy wetter for being only 10 weeks. We normally leak through our pockets if I am not keeping an eye on him. The YoYo’s Diaper didn’t leak at all and even after an hour long nap, I didn’t feel ANY wetness outside the diaper. Of course the 2nd time I grabbed for the diaper, he immediately pooped in it. The good news is that we didn’t have an leaking of EBF poop. He did have some elastic marks around his legs and I am not sure if I had it too tight or his chunky thighs are just sensitive.
Fit
I really like the fit on little man. This diaper is supposed to be a mini OS diaper. So for most babies, you will probably find that it fits them well into their first year. Since the Babe has a long waist, I worry that the rise might not fit him as long as it might for a baby that has a more typical torso. Regardless, the fit on his 14lb body is great and I am sure I will get a lot of use out of the diaper.
Cost
Personally I think her prices are competitive with other products that I have seen out there. Newborn diapers start at $25 and the Mini OS and OS diapers are $30 and up. I can only imagine the cost of materials and the time spent on cutting, sewing, layering, washing and prepping these diapers. Well worth the expense.
Overall
I love love love this diaper! Super absorbent. Great fit and I love that it is a mini OS which is perfect for smaller babies. I am very interested in checking out the AI2 and the regular OS as well. Plus she also offers a super cute bow tie/diaper combo that I might just have to purchase for his 3 months pictures.
Where to buy

I really like them. I am anti-wool but am thinking of getting some for my hybrid diapers.

Oh that is adorable! I haven’t tried a hybrid yet. That and wool are kinda my last hold outs. Haha!
