I love labels.
I love stickers.
I love personalized sticky labels.
They bring me back to my childhood and to be honest, up until two months ago, I never thought that I needed them for my children’s belongings.
That is until the day that the Director from my son’s daycare center called to tell me that they had accidentally given his breast milk to another baby. Now, this wasn’t such a horrible tragedy for me. The other parents were fairly incensed but when it came down to it, it was my fault. I had not correctly labeled my bottles and the substitute teacher had used the wrong bottle for their baby.
Lesson learned.
Now every bottle is brightly labeled with these fantastic daycare labels from Bright Star Kids. For my review they sent me the “Preschool & Daycare Pack” which contains 160 assorted labels.
- 10 Large
- 30 Small
- 80 Tiny Pencil
- 30 Blank
- 10 Pairs for Shoes
- 10 Clear Pairs for shoes.
Since I have two kids in daycare, I went back and forth about just using one of their names but then decided, what the heck, I will use them both. I think the labels came out very cute!
Creating your personalised labels is a breeze. You can choose from 9 different colors and more icons that I could count. Of course I chose the “sun” – I mean, isn’t that obvious? There are so many cute labels that it really is hard to pick just one. They also have 3 different fonts to choose from. Once you have created your label a “preview” pops up so you can see exactly what it will look like.
After the whole breast milk debacle, I decided I should probably make the effort to label some of Ezra’s other things. Especially his brand new and very expensive hearing aids. (they cost about the same as a decent used car). I had to cut a few of them but it worked out perfect.
My guess is that this is the first Bright Star Review that included hearing aids. Aren’t they cute?
Overall, these labels have been fantastic. They are super easy to use and have held up on our bottles through many (many many many) washes. I haven’t used the shoes labels or iron on ones but plan to as soon as winter hits. Right now Ezra isn’t even using shoes and Lu pretty much lives in flip flops and we haven’t broken out the winter coats.
The Bright Star Kids Labels are safe to use in microwaves, dishwashers, sterilizers and freezers. The iron on labels are safe for washers and dryers.
The preschool label set is the perfect for all your daycare and school needs. There are enough labels for everything from the backpack to the nap mat and in between. You might even find some things to stick these labels on that you didn’t imagine, like hearing aids.

My little one isn’t going to school yet but I would love to get these labels beforehand so we can label everything of hers, too much fun.
