Praise & Giveaway: Maxwell Designs Zippered Coin Purse

A few months ago, my friend Mindy from The Inquisitive Mom, introduced me the wonderful Maxwell Designs. A Canadian based company that makes all sorts of fabulous items to make travel with baby a little bit easier. Plus they have some of the best fabric choices, including the ever popular chevron in a variety of colors.

For this review I was sent the Change Coin Zippered Purse in Vintage Yellow (a new fall fabric choice). I have a small crush on fabrics with little birds on it and the yellow/grey combination was just too classic to pass up.

For the past few weeks, I have been using the coin purse as a quick addition to my diaper bag. Instead of packing up my entire purse AND my diaper bag, I just throw in my keys, debit card and phone. Voila! Everything I need is ready to go and I can just toss it on my wrist and go. It’s great for quick trips into the store or when I run out to pick up lunch at work.

It wasn’t until I went to Florida and tossed this little beauty into my borrowed pool bag that I realized that the #1 feature of the coin purse is that it has a PUL interior which makes it perfect for sand, pool or spit up. I had the bag laying on the sand (pictured above) and while the fabric was damp, the inside of the bag was still dry. Which is really nice for having access to my iPhone yet not having to be paranoid about it getting wet.

You can also use the mini storage purse for a collection of pacifiers, make up, lip balm, etc. I was also thinking it would be great for a couple of damp cloth wipes if you were going on a quick outing. Perfect to combine with Stow it All Clutch or one of her Wet Dry Bags. The removable key fob is easy to slip over your wrist or hook onto your diaper bag.
