Sometimes I can be a bit of a procrastinator and with the new baby I haven’t been as “on it” when it comes daily devotions with my older kids. With 8 years between them it is all I can do to get them to bed on time and I can honestly admit that this as not been a “season” spent in the Word the way it should be. That was one of the reasons that I chose the Bible in a Year New Century Version to review. It seemed like a great way to encourage Eph to read the Bible independently.
Tommy Nelson’s NCV Bible in a Year is perfect for kids ages 8-12. Laid out in a 365 day format, each daily reading consists of 2-3 easy to read pages. Daily readings will take your young child through the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. It is the perfect way for instill the Word of God into your Tweens heart.
Eph and I didn’t get started right on January 1st but he quickly caught up and is even a day ahead. At first, he was a little intimated by the size of the book and was adamant that he could “never read it.” After showing him how easy the Bible in a Year NCV was to read and how short the daily assignments are, he jumped right in. Now I just have to convince him that it’s alright if we read the book “out of order.”
The Bible in a Year NCV retails for $19.99 and can be purchased from the Tommy Nelson website.
What’s the one thing that’s stopped you or your family from reaching your Bible reading goals last year?

We are definitely looking for something like this for our kids. This is a little advanced, but I will be looking at their other options! Thank you!
