God’s Amazing World is an absolutely adorable depiction of the creation story. Gracie and her cousin Bo explore the outside world, while Gracie teaches him how God created the world in seven days.
Eileen Spinelli takes a sweet twist on this very popular Bible story by having the two modern day kids face their fear of the dark, jump in muddle puddles, chase the butterflies and even consider a quick nap. She shows the absolute joy in their child like faith as they move through the story.
In addition to the wonderfully crafted story, Melanie (oh, I do love her name) Florian has created beautiful illustrations. My daughter and I were particularly in love with the two silly cats that graced each page with their cute little purr-sonalities. I have a fondness for the little orange one, as he so reminded me of my sweet little Bukowsky. There are so many details in each picture, from tiny little bugs to gently smiling flowers. Each page showing the detailed beauty of God’s creation.
