You know that feeling that time has moved so quickly that you missed something? Something important? That is exactly how I have felt over the past week as I have sadly accepted that my little man is now one.
I have tried to take this year exceptionally slow. When he falls asleep in my arms, I don’t rush to put him down. When he wants to swing incessantly, I stand at the front and tickle his toes, creating the most beautiful belly laughs. If he wants to nurse 10x a day and 3 overnight, I let him.
Because he is my last.
Except even with all my attempt to prolong the inevitable, he is still growing, changing, learning, developing.
Time is flying…

Oh nooo! These kinds of posts are not good for an 8 and 1/2 month pregnant me! I’m tearing up because it’s so true! Time flies by so quickly with no one to detain her! My baby isn’t even here and just yesterday my best friend and I were talking about how fast babies grow and I was already freaking out about baby not being little for too long. You just want to make it all last and last! Sighhh….
I feel like the first year with my youngest went by so much faster than with my oldest, because with him I had time to sit and just BE WITH HIM. Now I’m always putting the baby down to run after the preschooler. *sigh*

Happy Birthday, little guy! My daughter turned 2 in April and one of the things I miss is that baby chub, her face used to be so round and now she’s starting to look like a kid and not a baby.
My baby boy is 8 months old, and boy, do I know that feeling! He is my second (and last) child and I’m trying to soak it all in and enjoy every moment.
What an adorable photoshoot! My little one is only 12 weeks old (tomorrow!) and I feel like she’ll be turning one any day now. The time just flies!

I feel the same way about my daughter. I don’t dare turn my back to her for fear she’ll be leaving for college when I turn again.
