Disclosure: I am a Love, Hallmark blogger. Occasionally, they give me fun gifts and goodies for being part of their group. I was not asked to write this post and am only doing so because my kids and I love the Itty Bitty line of products. Enjoy!
We have had a love hate relationship for the past 30 years. I watch your commercials and weep, I wander your aisles of cards and knick knacks and find myself laughing, crying, then laughing again. I mean seriously, just trying to find a birthday card can lead me to believe me I have a mood disorder. Not to mention that there is nothing more exciting than opening a brightly colored envelope and finding a “little bit of sunshine” made of paper.
It’s true, Hallmark, you have the most amazing way to make me smile.
Today, however, I think you crossed the line.
I opened this simple yellow envelope to find an itty bitty smooshie ball of wonder.
As in Wonder Woman.
And she is adorable and my daughter just swooned and my son spied her like he was too cool to admit that he really wanted the girl superhero too.
Then all the swooning led us to Google where I discovered a new level of love for you.
Because not only did you make this adorable little Wonder Woman but now I have two kids that want to start their own collection of Hallmark Itty Bitty’s.
So Hallmark, please tell me why?
Why did you make these adorable Itty Bitty dolls in Disney characters, princess and fairies? Why did you make them into Star Wars characters and super heroes? Or Lu’s all time favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz?
Why, oh why Hallmark am I now finding myself on a search and find for these teeny tiny little collectors items?
Couldn’t you just leave well enough alone with Christmas ornaments and your yearly keepsake items?
Did you have to up the ante with itty bitty goodness?
Well Hallmark, I guess I will have to just let bygones be bygones. Since I am sure, as soon as I turn around, our Elf Nico will be delivering the entire Itty Bitty Christmas story to our house. Complete with Bumble the snow monster and Rudolph.
I mean, really, did you deliberately pick EVERY.SINGLE favorite character in mine and my children’s lives?
I would go on and on but instead I have to go print off a checklist and start a search and rescue mission.
Have a good night Hallmark.
Love,
Melanie

I know what you mean- Hallmark has a way of getting me every time!! I, too, weep at their commercials! Greeting card commercials! It’s silly. Thankfully, I haven’t yet seen the itty-bitty goodness you write of and maybe I’ll have to stay away from the Hallmark stores for a while!

Ha! Too funny! I have a hard time resisting any super hero stuff as my daughter is crazy about anything “super”, especially Batman! Even though it’s hard on our wallets, it’s nice to find things related to what our kids are into (and then hoard them for holidays and birthdays!)

I have never seen these before but they are so adorable. And the fact that they make like every character ever doesn’t help the cuteness factor at all!

That is so cute! I love going to Hallmark for cards but I also love going after Christmas because everything is such an awesome price to stock up for the next year.
