Music Praise: Wake the Living

February 16, 2015 By Melanie

It’s not a secret that I am a Believer or that I enjoy popular Christian music. One of the fun parts of reviewing new music is finding something that I really enjoy. Regardless if the artist is secular or not, I have always had a “type” of music that I enjoy most. Folksy, dreamy sounding female voices with great instrumentals are always among my favorite tunes. Julie from Eddie From Ohio, Alison Krauss, Noelle Shearer from the Vineyard; they all have a similar heart for music and a familiarity that automatically draws me closer.

Wake the Living is a new Christian band from Central Ohio and they have just released their first single, Tis’ So Sweet. This is the first song off their upcoming album, River Hymnal.

It is lovely and passionate and the vocals are just breathtaking.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

You can support small music by buying the single from iTunes, Google Play or Amazon.

Thanks for sharing! I think we have similar tastes in music 🙂 I really love Sara Groves as well.
