Disclaimer: Disney Pictures generously invited our family to attend the local preview of Cinderella. We still have to stand in line and wait for a seat. Either way it was free so I have to tell you. I am not required to write a positive review.
Friends, it is here. The day has come that the blond bun, blue dress and animal whisperer of animation history has come to life in yet another one of Disney Pictures masterpiece remakes. It is the perfect story. The dream of every little girl in past 30 years. She is Cinderella and her story is classic.
Disney has done (another) amazing job bringing this story to life. The special effects are outstanding, especially the transformation of the pumpkin and all the little creatures. I really wish that the Fairy Godmother would have had additional parts in the film because her odd character was highly entertaining.
Disney did a great job of making the step-sisters ridiculous. They actually remind me of the Alice in Wonderland Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. The outfits the girls run around in are absolutely hideous to match their personalities. I couldn’t fall in love with the evil step-mother. She was cruel but not nearly has wicked as some of her predecessors.
Oh and how can I forget the handsome prince charming. Well, he is absolutely unforgettable and just as charming as every girl in the world dreams her prince will be. I could definitely stare into those blue eyes a little longer. Fortunately the camera gives the mom’s just the right angle to pretending we have suddenly become Cinderella.
Overall, Disney once again has worked their magic. Cinderella is and will continue to be a classic film meant to tantalize little girl’s dreams.
In theaters Friday, March 13th! Skip out on the sunshine and go see it this weekend!
OH! and there is a special little treat full of another Disney princess that sparkles and wears blue. Frozen makes a mini repeat full of adorableness! You will just have to sneeze!

CINDERELLA opens in theaters everywhere on March 13th!
I can’t wait to watch this movie with my daughter. The movie looks so pretty in the previews I’ve seen.
I really liked Lily James in the Downton Abby series, so I’m looking forward to seeing this reenvisioned classic. Is it a musical? Some of the music from the old animated Cinderella is just so beautiful, it would be fun to hear remakes of those.
So looking forward to watching this soon!
We can’t wait to see this! Cinderella was always my favorite fairy tale and now that we finally have a daughter I hope it’s one she loves. She’s only 17 months so the theatre was out for us, but we’ll absolutely be buying it on dvd!
