I would love to tell you that my children don’t ever watch television or that they are not often under the power and influence of an excellent infomercial. (who are we kidding, how often are we adults mesmerized by that perfect product) However, if I did, I would be lying. My kids love T.V. and that is why when I asked Eph if he had ever heard of Gutzy Gear he almost leaped up out of his seat with a resounding YES!
Gutzy Gear is the newest trading craze to hit the schools this year. Forget those plastic wrist bands or trading cards. Your kids can now let their personalities show with with a whole variety of Gutzy Gear patches and straps. There are literally hundreds of straps with almost every theme imaginable.
We were super lucky to be able to host a Gutzy Gear party this past Sunday. It was easy to get the kids over here and all hyped up for the party. We had a few kids that had seen the commercials and a few that didn’t but everyone was super excited to choose their Gutzy Gear.
We started out the party with a little show and tell. I had all the Gutzy Gear straps and patches laid out on the table and had each child put their backpacks on a chair. I explained all about how Gutzy’s work and where you could buy them. The kids were about to lose their minds wanting to get their hands on the patches so we played a game of bingo with each “winner” being able to have their choice Gutzy.
In the meantime I had my husband bust out the ice cream scoop and we made some old-school root beer floats as a special treat. (one of our kids is gluten free, so I always make an effort to serve something everyone can enjoy).
After our floats, we had all the kids open their Gutzy Gear packs and put them on their back packs. The kids all liked them a lot but no one really wanted to trade. Everyone was too excited to keep them.
The straps and Gutzy’s are super easy to put on and fit a variety of backpacks. Lu has taken her’s monkey off about a zillion times and it is still super “sticky”. They are easy to take on and off, even my 3 year old can do it.
These cuties weren’t able to make it to our party but their mom was super sweet fan and took this picture for me! Loving the smiles of them all “Gutzied” up!
Gutzy Gear can be purchased from their website or from several big box retailers like Walmart. Click here to find a store near you. Plus they are having a Facebook promotion where you and your kids can win over $500 in prizes, just by showing how you Go Gutzy! Just post a picture of how you Go Gutzy before September 7th for you chance to win.
