Tea parties and little girls are pretty much synonymous with one another. As a matter of fact, I remember being a little girl and a neighbor taking me and another little girl to the Ft. Lauderdale Art Museums Teddy Bear Tea Party. When I was little I played with my great grandmother’s tea sets. They were a brightly colored set with a gold trim. My grandmother had told me all sorts of wonderful stories about having tea. We would sit and hold our pinkies out and pretend to sip our tea. When I got older, tea parties didn’t escape me. I had a High Tea for at a fancy hotel for my bridal shower and now today, I love to sit on the floor in Lu’s room surrounded by dolls and bears sharing pretend tea.
I knew when I was chosen for the Cadbury Ice Cream Bars by Blue Bunny High Tea Party that Lu would love it. I had trouble keeping her out of the beautiful tea set that they sent to us for the occasion. The tiny cups are decorated in cute little pink flowers.
Because it was a beautiful day outside, we decided to host our tea party outside at community park. I decorated the table with a beautiful sari and the tea cups. I had some very eager helpers. I had invited a handful of little girls to the party. We laid out the hats and plates and sat down for tea.
The girls loved wearing the hats (at least most did) and the moms did too. It was fun for the girls to practice pouring the “tea.” I swear the adults had more fun than the girls. It was the hats. They were so much fun!
Notice how my daughter is the only one not pictured? She was the only sassy one at the party and refused to wear a hat or really participate at all. It wasn’t until I opened the cooler full of delicious Cadbury Ice Cream Bars by Blue Bunny that she became fully aware. (My kids have been suffering daily for the past few weeks by not being able to eat the ice cream in the freezer.)
Now even though I am on a diet. I had to splurge on a few calories and enjoy a Carmello Ice Cream bar. It was super yummy! The girls devoured theirs before I could even get the ones for the boys out a wrapper and come back to take pictures. I can say that most of the kids went for the vanilla chocolate bars but I think it was more out of peer pressure than preference. My son has really likes the chocolate almond bars.
As you can tell from all the smiles, we had a wonderful time hosting the Cadbury Ice Cream Bars by Blue Bunny party! The perfect addition to a summer day! Run out and get yours at your local grocery retailer today!
I have to leave you with this funny picture of my son. He will do anything for ice cream!
Thank you Mommy Parties for the wonderful opportunity to host this fun party!

Adorable, Melanie! Baby C would have loved your party because she loves hats. And me, because I love ice cream! I’ll have to try some for sure. 🙂
