As a mom, I tend to post my kids pictures all over Facebook and Twitter. I set their cute little smiles as my wallpaper and desktop backgrounds and I cover my refrigerator with their smudgy finger paintings. I have even caught myself saving the colored place mat from a restaurant because it had some sentimental picture next to the smear of syrup.
However, we all know that it is impossible to keep every little picture that your kids draw. Instead, when that season is done, they often find their way into the recycle bin and maybe if you are a little like me, it might break your heart a bit.
I have heard about different ways to preserve your child’s art work, scanning, photo books, even taking pictures of them but I had never heard of turning that special drawing into an Iphone or tablet case.
For this review, I was asked to create a Get Uncommon Iphone case using art work from one of my children. Eph loves to draw and I knew he would get a kick out of seeing his creation turned into something tangible. I asked him to make me a special drawing for this review.
I thought it would be easier if I traced my Iphone so that he would have the right parameters but I think it would have been just fine for him to have a smaller sheet of paper to draw on.
Unfortunately, the scan showed the lines. So, lesson learned, it took some editing but I was able to get rid of the lines and the little bit that did show was on the wrapped sides. Otherwise it was perfect!
Doing this yourself is super easy:
- Create your Get Uncommon Profile
- Choose your case type. (I chose the Iphone 4 Capsule, $39.95)
- Upload your image (art work or photos).
- Make adjustments, add text, etc.
- Place your order!
Isn’t this the most precious way to preserve your kids artwork or make that special present for Grandma, Auntie or another loved ones? Plus the case is very high quality with a padded insert.
Wouldn’t make a perfect Mother’s Day gift?
Here is our final creation! Looks just like the original!
From April 22 to April 24 you can use the code MOMSDAY at check out and receive a 2nd case at equal or lesser value for FREE!
