Our family recently enjoyed reviewing the 26piece Neon Magformers set. The set includes 18 squares and 8 triangles. The set is designed so that you can make simple structures including the very popular “magic ball.” The Magformers come ready to play with right out of the box and offer hours of creative entertainment for ages 3 and up.
At first I was a bit worried about bringing magnets into our home. I know that some other toys include magnets that are easy to swallow and can become dangerous to young children. After opening the box and inspecting the magnets, I was pleased to find that Magformers takes great care in assuring that the magnets are welded securely within the shapes. The opaque and transparent covering keeps the magnets in place and safe from little hands and mouths, yet you are still able to see them “at work.”
Magformers make perfect homes for rescued turtles:
At almost 3, Ezra was really fascinated with the Magformers. He liked placing them all out in one big line and treating them like a train track as well as building little tunnels for his cars to be pushed through. Magformers are really the perfect toy for a Deaf child because they do not require him to listen to spoken cues or directions to participate. Here is a video of Ezra putting his “train” together:
Overall I am very impressed with the Magformers Neon 26pc kit. I have already placed a couple of more boxes with different shapes into my Amazon gift list for future purchases. I would like to get some of the collections that contain a variety geometric shapes and colors. Consider adding Magformers to your summer educational activities.

I’ve been curious about these. My oldest (9) would love them, and when our baby’s old enough to 7se them, they’d be something they could play with together.
