A few weeks ago I received a “My Comfort Cross” in the mail for a review. The cross came at a very difficult time for me and it was perfect to hold while dealing with some difficult news, making tough decisions, and praying for the right outcome.
“His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree” (Hosea 14:6)
Each cross is individually carved from olive wood that is pruned from olive trees in and around Bethlehem. According to the included card, the crosses are carved by Christian craftsmen and are considered a fair trade item. The craftsmen receive a fair price for their work which is enough to support their families.
The crosses are beautifully designed to fit in the palm of your hand You can see in this picture that it is just the perfect shape. There is a small indention, that I am not even sure is intentionally carved in which my thumb can fit. I found myself, while in prayer, gently rubbing the length of the cross. I have really enjoyed having the comfort cross as part of my regular prayer time.
The My Comfort Cross can be purchased directly from their website. They are currently running a special in which Sunshine Praises readers can purchase 2 crosses for $10 which includes shipping.
Wouldn’t these crosses make a wonderful gift for someone you know going through a difficult time, a new Christian beginning their walk or maybe your Pastor?
My Comfort Cross is providing me with two crosses to giveaway to my readers. All you have to do is complete the form below to enter.
