So, what does one do when your birthday girl suddenly develops pink eye and has an infectious spider bite the day before her birthday party? Well, you load up on the antibacterial gels, eye drops and hope 24 hours really was enough time to reduce how contagious she might be. I grabbed the SafeSkin Kids to take to the party with me because I figured it couldn’t hurt. I mean, the product helps to create a barrier for MRSA. I don’t think that it probably does much for pink eye, but I wiped Lu’s little hands down just to make sure that she wasn’t spreading too many germs and used the SafeSkin on the lanced spider bite. The spider bite cleared up within a day and did not need any additional treatment. No other parent has complained their child got pink eye, so, I can’t say for sure, but I think my little experiment might have worked.
SafeSkin is a first aid antibacterial gel that is manufactured my Kimberly Clark and helps to prevent the spread of MRSA from cuts, scraps and bruises.

My kids are pretty tough and don’t get hurt a lot but the other day, my daughter decided she was a crazy clawed cat and when her brother was pestering her, she decided to scratch his face. Not once, but twice. It left a mighty wicked scratch. Being that it was a human scratch, I decided to put the SafeSkin gel on the scratch marks. At first my son said it burned but he says that about everything. I blew on the marks and he was fine. I asked him after if it hurt and he said no. The marks seem to be healing up fine and he hasn’t had any more complaints.
Over all, I am pleased with the SafeSkin gel. I love a product that is made with my children in mind. I highly encourage you to pick up a box or three and keep it in your sports bags, diaper bags, and medicine cabinet. Learn more about the benefits of SafeSkin products on their website. Unfortunately my son is getting banged and cut up a lot. He plays rough and takes a lot of tumbles! It would be nice to have this to treat his booboos.
