A Generation of Sweetness

July 23, 2013 By Melanie

Growing up, I was blessed to have a wonderful relationship with my grandmother. There were so many wonderful memories we shared and it has always made me a little sad that she was not able to be around to really get to know my children. Fortunately, my husband’s grandmother is still alive and it has been an amazing blessing to be able to see all of my children snuggled in her arms.

At 91 she still lives alone and even though she doesn’t like to go out anymore, she willingly made the 2 hour trip down to snuggle her newest great grand-baby.

Seeing them together just warms my heart.

Isn’t that the sweetest thing you have ever seen? I am pretty certain, next to me, she loves them more than anyone else.

That’s so awesome! Baby C’s great grandma is still alive and loves her greats. She is 96 years old. Your kiddos are so cute!

Aww, so precious! I take photos of my grandma with my kids every time we visit because I know she won’t be with us much longer. A great way to preserve the memories.

So precious! My kids are blessed to know their great grandparents and have them live close. It’s so wonderful watching them interact, my grandparents adore my kids and my kids just think they are amazing.

Aw, that is so great! I really want to take my kids to see my Grandmother, but the idea of flying 3,000 miles with a 2.5 year old and an 8 mo. old is a little daunting. Not to mention expensive!
