Yesterday we were SUPER excited to invite some little girls over for the Mega Bloks Lil’ Princesses Mommy Party! Our big box of princesses and ponies arrived about a month ago and Lu has been begging and pleading to open them up. I almost had to hold her down in order to get this picture. She was giddy with excitement and considering she had been in the urgent care that morning due to an allergy attack, that says a lot.
For our Mega Bloks party we invited 10 little girls over, ages 1 to 4. The girls all wore their cutest little princess costumes. I have the castle and the carriage already out of the boxes and ready to play with. The girls were able to choose which color pony that they wanted. With the parents help, we opened all the princess ponies, brought the castle and carriage down and the girls just got busy playing.
I was surprised at how well the girls all played together. They loved that they could take the castle and the carriage apart and be creative in different ways. They each wanted their pony to have a turn pulling the carriage and even exchanged wings and princesses as they played.
I love that along with pink, the princesses come in non “traditional” colors of blue, green and yellow. Plus each pony has removable wings and a crown that pushes up when you put them on a pony or block.
After we played with the ponies, we had a princess cup cake party. Each girl and their ponies made their way to the table. They each had a princess punch, a cupcake, frosting and sprinkles. The girls pretended that the the ponies were drinking punch and the princesses helped decorate the cupcakes.
Once the cupcakes were devoured, everyone went straight back to playing.
All the parents seemed to be impressed with the Mega Bloks Lil’ Princess line of products. Along with the princess & pony set, each mom got a $5.00 off coupon.
You can check out the entire new line Mega Bloks Lil’ Princess on their website. They have two castles, three style princess ponies and a Sparkle Tower. Plus you can find out more about the company, sales and discounts on Facebook & Twitter.
PS:
I had a rare night out, got home and found the castle and it’s ponies all set up. I had to take a picture because I knew that I my daughter didn’t do it. Nope, apparently 7 year old boys enjoy playing with Mega Bloks Lil’ Princesses too 🙂
