2011 Giving Thanks Challenge – Day 13, Little Miss Lu Bug

November 13, 2011 By Melanie

Today I give thanks to for my little Lu Bug.  She arrived into this world a on a beautiful Thursday morning on 11/13/2008.  She was so tiny (compared to her 9lb brother) and so beautiful.

One Day Old

She is my beautiful IUI blessing, who survived a placental tear at 28 weeks and was born at 39 weeks 6 days. She had crazy food allergies and a throat so underdeveloped that she literally burned calories just breathing. We spent countless nights eating (and eating and eating) just to keep her at her weight.

One Year Old

But God is good, so very very good! And now she is THREE! She is sassy and smart. She loves to sing, she loves her big brother, she knows her ABC’s and 123’s. Right now she is loving Elmo and Princesses. She has 5 baby dolls that must have a blanket,a prayer and a kiss in their beds each night.

Two Years Old

She is three years of waiting, three years of hope, three years of trusting God that his timing is perfect. I believe He got it just right.

Three Years Old

Happy Birthday to my little Sassy Pants! May God continue to bless you and protect you. May you rise up to serve and follow him all the days of your life.
