Having Fun with PicMonkey

May 20, 2012 By Melanie

I was a little upset (ok, maybe more than a little), when they closed Picnik. And even though I know I can use it as part of Google+, it just isn’t as good. I miss all the aspects and details of that program. However, the good news is, I have stumbled upon PicMonkey and while they don’t have all the exact same features I have grown to love, they have a really great program and it keeps getting better by the day.

I took this fun shot of Lu swinging on a tree the other day. Here is the organic shot I took:

And here are some of my edits with PicMonkey:

This is just a simple crop, brightness adjustment, and a black and white effect.

On this one, I kept the same crop, adjusted the brightness and contrast, and added a frame. I also brightened and tinted her eyes a tad and whitened her teeth.

I am having the best time with PicMonkey. Maybe you can enjoy it too!

Disclaimer: I am no way affilated with PicMonkey. I wrote this post because I really liked their program and thought some of my readers might want to know about it too! Regardless, I only post my honest opinions. This blog is in no way affiliated with Twitter, Facebook or any other social network.
