Last Month I embarked on a search for a healthier, happier, skinny new me with the Shaklee Cinch Program.(If you haven’t had a chance to read the introduction post please do here.) I am very excited to bring you an update on how my search has been going.
I started the program on June 20th just after my endurance relay. I had spent days hydrating and carbing (yeah, I know, not a word but it’s the running lingo) my body up so that I had the energy to endure a 24 hour/16.5 mile race. I also knew that my metabolism would be on overdrive afterwards and I would be starving. I let myself eat and drink whatever it wanted for the days leading up to the race.
So, I jumped on the scale the day I started Cinch and it blinked in bright bold numbers 152.8. I was really appalled. I honestly couldn’t believe that I had let my weight creep back up over that threshold. I was sad and disappointed with myself.
When I went downstairs and made that first Cinch shake (chocolate with a banana), my motivation really kicked up a notch. I realized at that moment that I really had a chance to make this work.
In the past 3.5 weeks I have dropped 5.6lbs and lost 5.5 inches. It has been amazing to see the transformation in just this short amount of time. I can already feel my clothes fitting better. My energy is hope and for the first time in a while, I feel like losing weight isn’t a chore. I don’t deprive myself. When I want to eat something (like french fries or a chocolate brownie), I do. However, I try to limit my portions and balance with exercise. The one thing I have been really trying to curb is my addiction to sugary beverages, so I have only allowed myself a few sodas and sweet teas.
And voila! Look how pretty that is! Although it will look better when it is about 10lbs lower.
I don’t have any updated pictures yet. Saving those for another post but check out my first Cinchspiration video and find out more about my journey!
