My family has major Disney lust! Having grown up in Florida, going to Disney was not just for special occasions or yearly vacations. My grandparents lived in Orlando and we made the 3 hour drive whenever the whim hit. Then, when I was in highschool and we had our own cars, we would go up for the day and just to ride rides and fool around.
One of my favorite parts of being a Disney fanatic is spreading the Disney magic to people that have never had the opportunity to visit. I realize, now that I am in Ohio, how lucky I was as a kid. It just isn’t the same for my children, although we try to show our Disney Side all time.
Last Saturday we had the privilege to host Disney Side home party. I wanted to invite some of our friends who I knew were taking their first or second trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.
We hosted a Mickey themed party and all our party supplies were provided by BSM Media and Disney Side @Home Celebrations. Our kits came with a wonderful American Tourister suitcase and tag that will help find our way to Disney! We also received 10 HP photo card kits for printing our Disney Side pictures. Hanes T-shirts to express our Disney Side in fashion and a host of other Mickey Mouse goodies.
We invited several families to attend our party. One family just got back from their first ever Disney trip. Another family is taking their 2nd trip next week and another will be taking their very first trip this fall. There is nothing like the excitement of planning a trip to Disney and once the trip is over, there are tons of ways to continue showing your Disney Side.
We started off the party with a little Hanes t-shirt decorating. The older kids really went all out on their shirts.
After we made our shirts we played a round of Disney Bingo. The Bingo game was fun and gave the parents conversation starters. Like who’s been to the new Fantasy Land? What are the best places to see characters? What are the best restaurants? It was nice to chat about some fun tips and hints that make a Disney trip truly magical.
Pin trading is one of our families favorite parts of Disney. I had a fun time showing off our kid’ lanyards and all our special pins. Pin Trading is one of those Disney Side perks that many parents don’t know about but that help kids get into the excitement and especially kill time in the lines or waiting for parades.
After we played some games, the kids enjoyed some adorable Minnie themed cupcakes, Jake and Pirates Booty popcorn and some Disney themed Ocean Spray Cranberries.
All of the kids had a blast showing their Disney Side!
Do you have a Disney Side? Do you have a trip to see the Mouse, Princess or another favorite character?
Here’s to a little Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust!

Those cupcakes are adorable! I am 28 years old and have never been to Disneyland (we are on the west coast). I think it would be so fun to take the kids someday. But my husband has crowd phobia and zero desire to go. We will see!
