This is a pretty moderate relay race with only 76 total miles. Compared to the Relay Around Columbus which took about 21 hours and 120 miles to complete I am sure it will seem like a walk in the park. I have been logging some very slow and mentally painful miles but every time I lace up those sneakers, I am remembering how much I love the feeling of a good jam and a good run.
My team and I will be leaving tomorrow and we start our race at 6:00am on Saturday morning near Cincinnati, OH. We had fun coming up with names and decided on Who’s Next. Not as creative as some other ones but I like it!
It will be a little quiet over here this weekend! If you have a chance to get out…. RUN HAPPY!!!!

You’re awesome! I’ve never run in my life. I had childhood asthma (I rarely have problems as an adult thank goodness!) and I didn’t even run when I was a kid really. Something about it seems a little intoxicating to me though. And if I wasn’t afraid of looking like a complete ninny, I think I might actually enjoy it. If, for no other reason than to get out of the house by myself once in awhile.

I enjoy running now too, never got into it until after I had my daughter! I haven’t done it as much this year because she has gotten to the age where she doesn’t want to be stuck in the stroller. Good luck and have fun!

I love running! Before getting pregnant I was just starting to train for my first half marathon!! Between the round ligament pain and the overall fatigue, I had to stop, but I plan on getting my running mojo back after the baby. Have a great race and run happy!!!!

I am so happy for you, it is wonderful that you are going back to running. I’m two months postpartum today and am barely starting to get organized enough to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner and keep my house clean on top of diaper laundry lol. I love to run so I’m glad I found this inspiring post, you have reminded me of how good it feels after a run. I hope that once the baby is introduced to bottles I can push myself to get out there and start jogging!

I love running. I haven’t been able to go in a while because I have damage to my spinal nerves, but I’m hoping soon.

i hope you had a great race. i ran xcountry in highschool just to get out of class 🙂 i wasn’t very good… but i run on occasion i prefer trail running on hills when i have the time… i like the bang for my buck aspect of hills. i really want to do a tough mudder… add in some fun obstacles w. the run 🙂
