A crazy thing happened on my way to becoming fit and fabulous with the Cinch plan. I became pregnant! Pregnant! Can I say that ONE MORE TIME? PREGNANT! As in, forget trying to slim and trim that buddah belly and instead I get to watch it grow…and grow…and grow.
However, I don’t want to leave my Cinch journey without one last post. This past June I joined 50 other bloggers in an amazing journey to get fit, lose weight and change our lives with the Shaklee Cinch program. This was an amazing opportunity that I am still blessed and honored to have received! At 152 lbs and a size 8 (and growing), I was in desperate need for a way to get my eating under control. Fast food, bread, butter, creams, you name it. Those were my foods of choice.
Month 1 included a small weight loss and also a family vacation. It was very difficult to break out of my old habits but when I started to those pounds melt away, I knew that this plan was going to work. Months 2 & 3 continued to show progress with me losing about 1lb per week. It was really quite easy and I was rarely hungry. Plus my energy level was up and my new, lighter body was rocking my run times.
Then, just a few days later, I was out with my running partner on an 8 mile run lamenting about how I was “late” and saying how I thought all the running and weight loss was affecting my cycle. She joked, knowing that we have always been considered infertile, that I should take a pregnancy test. We both got a good laugh out of that but 3 days later, I began to wonder…
So when I should have been writing my 4 month Cinch Victory post, instead I was in my infertility specialists office having a confirming ultrasound, that indeed we were pregnant.
Then in a blink of an eye, instead of 8 mile runs and Cinch shakes, I was downing pregnancy vitamins and extra calories. I told Sommer (our wonderful leader) and the rest of the Cinch ladies and then sat by for the next few weeks to see if we would lose this baby as well. Except, by the grace and goodness of God, we did not, and we are now – amazingly – 16 weeks pregnant with our little miracle.
I want to be very clear here. I am considered infertile. I have two beautiful children conceived through infertility treatments, I have several babies in heaven also conceived through treatments. What I have never had is a 100% natural pregnancy that made it past the first 8 weeks. My infertility specialist told me that I seemed to have won the lottery and got struck by lightening. My regular OB said, “I never thought I would see you again.” Neither of them have any reasonable answer to why, after all these years, I would be able to naturally conceive.
I wish I could just come out and say, Shaklee’s Cinch program (and God) did it. I can’t. One because there is no real proof and two because I swore that I wouldn’t make any scientific claims in my contract. However, I am certain in my heart of hearts that the balanced nutrition combined with proper nutrients and vitamins in the Cinch products is what help my crazy hormones balance themselves out enough to cause this mini miracle in my life. There really is no other explanation.
Now, if you are infertile, I don’t suggest running out and loading up on Shaklee’s Cinch* products. I just wanted to personally give my thanks and gratitude to a program that put me on the journey to a healthier, happier me and in doing so, got my body to a point where it could naturally conceive and carry a baby.
There are many draw dropping, life changing stories from each of the 50 bloggers that completed the Cinch program with me. If you have a chance, stop by and read some of them on the Green and Clean Mom’s page and just search for “Cinch”. You will cry, laugh and cheer as you read all of the ways these amazing woman have made their lives better.
I can’t say enough about the wonderful program, the ladies that I have gotten to know like friends, our 100% supportive leader – Sommer and especially the Shaklee Company for giving me this amazing opportunity. I was blessed in a million ways!
If you are looking for a way to change your life in 2013, I highly suggest checking out the Shaklee 180 program (formally Cinch). Purchase your Turnaround Kit today!

I am so very, very happy for you. I also have fertility problems and before having my daughter the doctor said if I lost weight it would help me conceive easier with the fertility treatments. Month one of trying with fertility treatments at a healthy BMI I became pregnant. It is amazing what being overweight does to your body! It has been a pleasure working with you and getting to know you and I’m so happy for you. God is indeed good!
